Recommendations for Weight Loss
Getting advice and recommendations about weight loss is normal. We get these bits and pieces of advice everywhere; from TV shows to magazines and even on daily conversations with our peers and colleagues. But if truth be told, there are certain bits and pieces of weight loss suggestions that are just tainted with too much falsehood and mediocrity that it is already evident that we should not give in to these suggestions. Here is a list of the suggestions that we should never follow:
Eat carbs if you are on an exercise regimen
Nothing else could be more wrong than this tip. Carbohydrates are energy-giving foods but loading up o carbs even if you are intending to exercise is still not a wise option, especially since doing so would only make a dieter slump because of the laziness that these food choices can impact a dieter with.
Eat few portions of food several times a day
The advice of some so-called health experts is that eating several times a day is a great option to lose weight, especially if a person is having food cravings most of the time. Actually, this advice is taboo. Eating several times a day, regardless of the amount of food you consume, is not advisable because it can only strain the metabolic processes of the body and as such, weight gain would set in.
You can lose weight without exercise
There are some people who believe in weight loss supplements so much that they even tend to side with the idea that these supplements alone can aid in weight loss. Although weight loss supplements can often help in weight loss, their effects are not permanent and as such, a healthy diet and an exercise routine should also work in tandem with this weight loss program so as to maximize the chances of achieving weight loss goals.
High amounts of dairy products should be consumed everyday
While it is true that dairy products are good for the health, it should not be consumed everyday, or if it is, at least lessen the portion of food servings for these dairy products. Dairy products have health benefits but it contains too much fats and carbohydrates that it might be a better idea to stay away from these food choices instead of indulging in it.
Red meat is okay
Red meat is not okay! Red meat has too much fat and the protein that it contains is the type that gets stuck in the system and in the stomach cells as fat. These are harder to get rid off than the other types of meat. Such as white meat or the meat from chicken.
